I always get a little nastalgic on December 31st. It's been quite the eventfull year for us!! These are just a few things that have stuck out in my mind:
1) I got a new nephew (Jaden) in February. He is one of the happiest, joyful babies ever! I loved being able to live close enough to see him and his sister Kes whenever I wanted!
2) I watched my Husband transform into a very strong person. Mentally, spiritually, and physically. (hubba hubba!)
3) I turned 25!!! It's weird, sometimes I feel like I'm dreaming, and I'm going to wake up 16 again. It just doesn't seem that long ago, but it was. And there are other times, when the weight of the world is on my shoulders, I feel about 70.
4) I switched jobs. And oh was it a need switch!! I had been in a job for two years that was sucking the life out of me. I always promise myself that I won't take the stress of work home, but I was doing this constantly. Luckily for me, Heavenly Father listened to my prayers and got me out of there! I now work in a very nice, calm work environment, and it is amazing how much happier I am!!
5) I went on a trip to Park City with my ENTIRE family! This hasn't happened, well, I don't think ever. My parents paid for a condo up there for a few days, and we all had an absolute blast. It was awesome that we all had such a good time, there was no drama, and it reiterated to me how blessed I am to have such a beautiful family. Thanks mom and dad for that memory!!!
6) We moved. It was a bitter sweet move for me. We had been renting a basement apartment from my bro and his family, and I had become very used to having family so close, and it was very hard for me to leave those two kiddos and their parents! But, at the same time, it feels really good to REALLY be on our own, and I LOVE our apartment!
7) My Grandma passed away. This, again, was bitter sweet. She did not have a good quality of life, but it was soooo hard to spend those last days with her and know that it would be a while before I could see her again. And, to see my mom say goodbye to her mamma was heartbreaking. Grandma Saunders was a truly amazing woman, and she is missed by many!
Well, hopefully 2010 will be an awesome year, and I wish all of you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
